Day 7 - Do you read? What are your favourite books?

Funny enough, I'm reading one of my favourite books at the moment, just to remind myself why I love it so much. It's titled "Cry, the beloved country" by Alan Paton. I fell in love with it after I watched the movie in grade 4 and much to my delight, they had the paperback version of it in our school library. I borrowed. I read. I loved.

But my ulimate favourite author is Jodi Picoult and I've quite the collection of her books stacked in my shelf (read as under my bed and in my cupboard). Of them all, I really enjoyed "Vanishing Acts" and "Mercy". Both tear-jerkers but a great read. Makes one think of the extremes they'd be willing to go for the people they claim to care about.

Another book I can think of is one titled "The testimony" by Anita Shreve. A book that portrays the scandals that go on beneath an elite New England boarding school. This leads to an upheaval in the lives of many. A well written novel by Shreve.

Anele Mdoda's It Feels Wrong To Laugh, But.. had me laughing throughout the book which is why it makes it on my list of favourite books. An easy read, yet very entertaining.
